Making it ART 2014, Performance 1pm—2.45pm
Wyvern Theatre, Swindon. 7th March 2014
Opportunities Fair , Theatre Foyer, 10am—12pm
Making It ART 2014 is a project that enables young people with disabilities to think about what they would like to do in the future.
The project’s aim is to help young people, in participating schools, who are preparing to leave school, embrace a time of choices and change.
Reach believes that using drama helps these young people to explore aspects of work, leisure and lifestyle ambitions, in a non-threatening way.
Students are supported by professional arts workers to devise short dramas that will then be preformed on the main stage at the Wyvern Theatre, Swindon., 1pm—2.45pm.
From 10am—12pm the ‘Opportunities Fair’ will take place in the theatre foyer. Local organisations will host trade stands providing information to help with finding out what to do and what support is available for young people with disabilities when they leave full-time education.
Parents, carers and friends are invited to come to the theatre during the morning and to look around, talk to our stall holders, and then, in the afternoon, to watch the show . Making it ART 2014 promises an informative and a fun-packed day for everyone.
