‘Trip wire’ is one of the most exciting shows Partners has created. Partners are a group of actors who have disabilities have been working with Big State Theatre Company from Salisbury Arts Centre who have brought their unique brand of physical comedy to the devising of this drama.  The subject carries a serious message about the use of technology in our lives, how it can add but also how it can prevent us seeing the world around us and accepting our ability to communicate with each other face to face. However, the comedy that the actors bring to the stage gives this piece a joy that is infectious.

The tour visited a number of Swindon and Wiltshire schools colleges and public venues and was very well received by a wide range of audiences.  The first performances took place at Commonweal School, Swindon where, as ever, we were made welcome and the company performed to the whole of year 7. Further shows took place at Crowdy’s Hill and Uplands schools in Swindon as well as Hardenhuish School in Chippenham.  The group also performed to St Lawrence School and Fairfield Farm College at the Wiltshire Music Centre in Bradford on Avon.
